There are more than 663 wineries in this directory across 7 provinces, and no single place that showed all of them properly.

Provincial authorities publish rosters. Tourism boards publish regional guides. Review sites publish whatever has the most reviews. None of them let you look at the whole country, filter to what’s near you, and build an afternoon around four estates you’d actually enjoy.

So we built that. The roster is cross-referenced against the provincial wine authorities — VQA Ontario, the BC Wine Authority, the Conseil des vins du Québec — so certification status is accurate rather than assumed. Coordinates come from OpenStreetMap and Google Places. Where a location is approximate, we say so on the page rather than pretending otherwise.

Opening hours, photography and tasting details are arriving winery by winery. Sub-region assignment is incomplete in places, because appellation boundaries carry legal meaning and we won’t guess at them. If something looks wrong, it probably is — tell us and we’ll fix it.
